Cascade Residences is a sustainable multi-unit residential design in Los Angeles that explores density, privacy, and environmental performance through a layered relationship between building, landscape, and light. Originally conceived as a triplex, the project brings three interrelated homes together within a unified composition shaped by material depth, spatial efficiency, and a more refined approach to urban living.

The design is defined by rammed earth walls, expansive glazing, rooftop gardens, and stepped planted terraces that extend the architecture into the landscape. These layered outdoor elements create usable exterior space at multiple levels while also reinforcing privacy, shade, and a stronger connection to the site. Floor-to-ceiling windows, skylights, and carefully placed openings bring natural light deep into the interiors and support natural ventilation throughout the residences.

A dramatic upper-level living space emphasizes openness, long views, and continuity between interior and exterior space. The project reflects an approach to sustainable multi-unit residential design that balances environmental performance, material expression, and contemporary living within a cohesive Los Angeles housing proposal.
