The Amesbury Residence is a 7,500-square-foot custom single-family residence designed for a private owner on a prominent hillside site in Los Feliz, California. Planned as a two-story home, the design is organized around a dramatic open stair and central atrium, creating a strong architectural core that anchors the foyer, kitchen, dining, and living spaces on the main level.

Above, the private bedroom level is arranged around the atrium, with the primary suite positioned to capture sweeping views of Downtown Los Angeles. Throughout the home, the plan emphasizes openness, natural light, and a clear relationship between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape.

The exterior was conceived for Southern California living, with an expansive flat pad, infinity-edge pool and spa, outdoor kitchen and dining area, fire pit, and mature landscaping integrated throughout the property. Set on a street-to-street lot of more than 20,000 square feet, the site offers rare scale and broad panoramic views extending from the San Gabriel and Verdugo Mountains to Downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific beyond.
